I didn’t plant, grow, or harvest the einkorn wheat I used to bake bread, but I did grind it myself. It produced a lovely bowl of flour, and using the jovial whole wheat bread machine recipe, I whipped out this lopsided loaf. Yeah, the recipe told me that might happen. Next time, I’ll even it out before the first rise.
This recipe is definitely a keeper, as long as I find a cheaper source of einkorn wheat berries. Unlike the Little Red Hen, I shared my bread even though I had no takers when I offered turns cranking the mill.
